Super Simple Landing Page - Tutorial

Super Simple Landing Pages

Posted on February 17, 2023February 27, 2023 by Patrick H

Hey guys,

This article will show you how to make high quality landing pages in minutes for your CPV Lab campaigns.

I developed this method to make it easy for outsourcers to consistently create professional looking landing pages. This can be used with MV Lab (multivariate testing) to easily split test just by alternating background images, headline texts or other elements of the page.

If you are not familiar with what a landing page is: it is the web page where the visitor “lands” after they click on your ad or link. 🙂

Step by Step Tutorial

I will create a simple landing page for a dating vertical, but it can be used for fashion or other verticals as well. The important part here is to see how easily you can build a landing page for your affiliate marketing offers.

Step 1: Get free commercial use images of women, and a background image.

Step 2: Remove the backgrounds from the female models with PurePhotos.app.

The purpose is to have some images with women that we can use on our landing page to attract attention and make the landing page relevant to our users.

So, in order to remove the background image from an image I’ve used Purephotos app.

As you can see, the background was completely removed and now I have only the images with no background that I can use to create my landing page.

Step 3: Create your landing page background image

1. Open PhotoShop (or Canva) and make sure the canvas size of the image is 1200×700 pixels

Note: You can use any image editing tool as long as you’re allowed to layer.

 2. Place the women over the background image

Note: Make sure to position the women so that they look attractive.

Note: I try to make it look like they’re give the user eye contact.

Step 4: Use Seedprod’s WordPress plugin (or other website building tool) and place the image as a background image.

Note: To make sure it is clear, the idea is to have your landing page built easily with a background image that is better suited to your product.
In my example, I use Seedprod WordPress plugin, but you can use any website building tool you are familiar with.

Step 5: Edit the landing page any way you’d like

You have the flexibility to customize various elements of the landing page like headline, subheader, different items, CTA buttons, etc.
As mentioned above, if you want to test multiple variations of your landing page, you should use MV Lab, as it will allow you test everything from a single page, without creating copies over copies.

Step 6: Tracking For Seedprod Users

Tracking is important if you want performance, that is why I recommend using an affiliate marketing tracker like CPV Lab.

  • Go to “Page settings” in the main menu bar, and then click the “scripts” tab in the left hand column.
  • Go to your CPVLab tracker and open your campaign
  • Copy the Tracking code from Step 2 in CPV Lab “Links and Pixels” section
  • Add CPV Lab’s “Step 2″ tracking code in the “Footer Scripts” box and save.

Step 7: Finished 🙂. Your site should be ready to go!

Additional Note: Make sure the url from CPV Lab’s “Step 1” area is properly inserted into all your buttons and any other clickable links of your landing page.
