In digital marketing, affiliate marketing is a key strategy for businesses and individuals looking to monetize their online platforms. Central to this strategy are landing pages, which are standalone web pages created specifically for marketing or advertising campaigns.
In affiliate marketing, these landing pages are essential, acting as the nexus between the affiliate’s promotional content and the advertiser’s offerings.
This is where CPV Lab, a comprehensive ad-tracking platform, becomes invaluable. CPV Lab (and the cloud-hosted conversion tracker CPV One) enhances the effectiveness of these landing pages by providing detailed tracking and optimization features.
It’s particularly beneficial for affiliate marketers, media buyers, and marketing agencies looking to maximize the impact of their online campaigns.

Creative Design Method
A super easy way to build high performing landing pages for your CPV Lab campaigns is a method I call the “Creative Design Method“.
What is the creative design method?
The creative design method shows let’s you turn simple images from Photoshop, or Canva into easy webpages in under 10 minutes.
Creative Design Method Tutorial:
In this tutorial I’m going to show you how to use the creative design method for your own page.

Step 2: Crop Image | ⇾ Go To |
Step 3: Rocket Cake Download | ⇾ Go To |
Step 4: Simple Site Creation | ⇾ Go To |
Step 5: Mobile Optimization | ⇾ Go To |
Step 1: Simple Image Design
First, we’re going to create a simple image with a transparent background. You can use Photoshop, Canva or almost any other photo editor that will allow you to layer images.
Open up your Photo Editor, and set the height and width (canvas) to around 1800x1200px.

Grab the images (elements) that you want use for your design, and put them together to create a design that you’d like.
Make sure all the images have transparent backgrounds.
I added 7 items to use for this design example:
- Baby cartoon with a transparent background
- Logo Icon
- Logo text
- Touch Icon
- Headline
- iPhone Image
- Continue button

Arrange the images that you like in the center of the canvas.

Add a background image to design the page/image better (optional).

Step 2: Crop Image
Once your finished designing the image remove the background image(s) and make sure only the images with transparent backgrounds are visible.

Crop the transparent layers, and remove the excess space.

Now, we’re going to save the image as a transparent “.png” file.

** Important Note: The background layer has to be transparent for this design to work properly.
Step 3: Rocket Cake Download
I’m going to be using free software called RocktCake, but you can use pretty much any html editor.

You can download Rocket Cake Free Here

Step 4: Simple Site Creation
After you download Rocketcake open the html editor. Then, click the “Image” tab in the right hand column.

Add the image to the canvas.

Then, center the image, and resize it.

Set the background by going to the “Background & Boarder” section in the bottom left hand column. Click the “BackgroundMode” dropdown menu and select the “image” option.

Next to the “backgroundandimage” field click the grey box with three dots “…“

And then, select a background image.
Step 5: Mobile Optimization
Desktop:
Set the image size for desktop devices in the “size” field in the bottom left hand corner located in the “Position and Size” area. 28% seems to be around the best size for this design for desktop devices, but this will vary depending on your design.

Mobile:
To edit for mobile devices right click the canvas area, and click “Edit Breakpoints…“.

Click the plus “+” symbol.

Then, add a size for mobile. We’re going to use 640.

Now, we’re going to click the “Add…” button.

And, select the “Width” menu item.

We’re going to set the width to 85% for mobile devices. You can adjust this to the best size that works for your design.

Make sure to click the “OK” button, and now we’re finished! 🙂
Additional Note: Make sure to check the site on a desktop and mobile device to make sure the web page is resizing correctly.
