In this tutorial I’m going to walk you through your first Gengo order to guide you through how to communicate with the translators to help you get the most accurate translations possible.
Step 1: Add Translations
First we’re going to create a new account, and log into Gengo.com.
Click the “Order Translation” button.
Add the text, or attach the file you’d like to use.

Step 2: Choose Languages
Then click “Next Choose Languages” to pick the language you you want to translate to.
Click the “Choose Languages” dropdown menu.
Select the language you’d like a translation for.
For this example I’ve selected Turkish but it can be any language you want the content of your landing page to be.
Continue by clicking the “Next: Options” button.

Step 3: Select Quality
Select the content type so that the translator can accurately translate the context of your text properly.
Depending on the audience that will get access to your landing page, you can pick different type of content and quality.
You can pick the content type to be generic or more technical, or about arts, games, marketing, etc.
Select the quality in the “Select quality” section. I recommend selecting “Extra Quality Assurance” to make sure the translation quality of the initial campaign is as high as possible.
Select the service type that you’d like. Again the translation quality is very important in the beginning campaign stage. “Advanced Plus” is my preferred option for initial testing (after I would test the cheaper options and AI tools).

Step 4: Tone & Context
Select the tone of voice by selecting the drop down menu labeled “Tone of voice“.
Depending on your target audience you can pick different types of “Tone of voice”: business, friendly, or anything else you want to specify.
You can specify to be funny, to be more technical.
Make sure you give the proper description of the context your like the text to be translated.

“Hi, I’m making a simple questionnaire style webpage that asks a yes or no question. Please translate this text in this context, so that it can be simply placed on a webpage. Thank you!”
2. Survey Page Instructions Template:
“Hi, I’m creating a survey website that I need users to sign up via their email . Please translate this text so that it can be placed on a webpage and has the best possible chance at getting users to sign up. Thank you!”
3. Giveaway Template:
“Hi, I’m making a giveaway page where users receive free gifts for completing tasks and signing up. Please translate the text with this context, and in the best way possible to get people to sign up. Thank you!”

Step 5: Complete Order:
Finish by selecting your payment option and clicking “Confirm Order & Pay“.
After approving your order we can select our translation job.
Once we have our translation we can go ahead and add it to our page.
