CPV Lab is a powerful affiliate link tracking tool that helps advertisers manage their profitable campaigns efficiently. When integrated with PopCash, an ad network specializing in pop-under ads, it can significantly enhance their campaign’s profitability.
There are multiple ways to optimize your campaign for better results. Here’s a brief look at one effective method to optimize and get a profitable campaign with PopCash.
So, in this tutorial, I’ll walk you through creating a successful PopCash campaign with my favorite tracking platform, CPV Lab, and affiliate network, Zeydoo, using a method I call the “Custom White List Method.”
- Traffic source: PopCash
- Tracking software: CPV Lab (or CPV One if you want cloud hosted)
- Affiliate Network: Zeydoo
- Purpose: Get a profitable campaign with a targeting optimization method
Custom white list method
The custom white list method involves creating a custom white list from any zone ID with one conversion or more after spending 20x the payout.
This means that if the offer pays $1.00 USD, you would need to spend at least $20 before you can begin to optimize the campaign.
- Zones with at least one conversion and a positive ROI will all go on one white list.
- Zones that have conversions but a negative ROI can actually be more profitable if they have high traffic volumes.
- These negative ROI zones with high traffic volumes that are converting would be placed into a separate campaign with a lower set bid.

Tutorial: Profitable campaigns with Custom White List Method
In this tutorial, I’m going to walk you through the basics of how we created a successful campaign using the “Custom White List Method” with CPV Lab Pro.
Step 1: Create the CPV Lab campaign
First, we created a new campaign in our ad tracker (CPV Lab or CPV One).
Then, added the “General settings” information to the campaign.
Select “PopCash” as a traffic source and add the default PopCash ad tokens to the campaign.
A few landing pages were created for this campaign, like the one below.
Example:
Then pages and an offer were added to our CPV Lab campaign. I’ve done split testing between 2 landing pages.
Always check the post-back URL before saving the campaign.
Step 2: Create a PopCash campaign
We created a New PopCash account, and logged in.
A new PopCash Campaign was created by clicking the “Create Campaign” button.
We added a campaign name, and added our CPV Lab campaign URL to the “Landing URL” field.
So, we added the tracking link generated by the CPV Lab ad tracker to the ad network so that we can track the traffic coming to it.
We set the following goals:
- “Budget” $25, and
- “Daily Budget” to $10.
- “Pricing” was set to $0.0004, which is $0.40 CPM (per thousand impressions).
- The “Frequency Cap” was set to 1, and the other fields were left at their default values.
In the “Campaign targeting” section, the targeting options were set to
All Categories ----> Thailand ----> Mobile Phone ----> Android ----> Chrome ----> Thai (language)
Step 3: Data Analysis
After we ran the initial tests, we got:
- around 17,000 impressions
- we had around 50 conversions from around 1,580 clicks,
- but we had almost a $12 loss.
We can see the ROI was very high from some of these publishers.
Step 4: Optimization to get profitable campaigns
After analyzing the data, we created a copy of the existing PopCash campaign.
Copied all the profitable zones.
Then, selected the menu item in PopCash for our campaign.
And, selected the option that says “Targeting“.
We placed the profitable zone IDs into Popcash’s whitelist feature and used the “Include Websites” setting.
Step 5: Scale
The optimized campaign copy using the custom white method produced 120+ conversions already with less than 6,000 impressions.
We can see that that ROI for most of these ad zones are stable, which means this campaign is now in the profit stage. Now we can increase our bids to see how much this campaign will be able to scale.
Conclusion:
Hopefully this tutorial helps you understand how to create a custom white list for your CPV Lab Pro profitable campaigns. In a later post, we will show the advanced version.
