Add CPV Lab tracking code to WordPress

Easy Tracking for WordPress – Tutorial

Posted on July 11, 2023February 11, 2024 by Patrick H

You build many landing pages when you run affiliate marketing campaigns. An easy way of doing that is by using WordPress.

As lately I got questions on how to add the tracking code from CPV Lab ad tracker in a WordPress page, I want to give you an easy method of tracking your WordPress pages.

So, in this tutorial we’re going to show you how to easily add CPV Lab’s tracking code on your WordPress page using a free plugin. I found this to be the easiest method for adding a custom code.

This method can be used if you buy traffic from any ad network. So, it will work for mainstream traffic sources like Google Ads, Bing Ads or Facebook Ads for which you need direct tracking, but it will also work for any other ad network out there where you can use redirects.

Step 1: Install Plugin

Login into your WordPress account, and go to your dashboard.

In the left hand column hover over the “Plugins” tab, and click “Add New“.

Type “Sogo Add Script” into the search box in the right hand column.

Once we see a plugin that says “SOGO Add Script to Individual Pages Header Footer” we’re going to install this free plugin by clicking the “Install now” button.

Step 2: Create content

Add a new page by hovering over the “Pages” tab in the left hand column and select “Add New”.

Alternatively (optional):

Or, you can use an existing page by clicking “All Pages” and clicking edit on a previously created page.

Create the WordPress landing page anyway you’d like.

Step 3: Add Tracking Codes

Go to your CPV Lab campaign and copy your offer link from the “Links and Pixels” section of your campaign.

You want to add links to your offer in the landing page.

**Note: Please notice that only the url needs to be copied highlighted in yellow.

In our case it is:

<a href="https://start.safelife101.com/base2.php">Click for Offer</a>

Highlight the button, image, or text you want to add your offer link to, and then press the link icon.

Now paste your offer url in the url box.

And, click the blue apply button (icon).

Towards the bottom of the page we’re going to see a section that says “OH add script“.

We need to copy our step 2 code from our CPV Lab campaign by clicking the copy icon.

And, then paste in our CPV Lab tracking code into the section that says: “add script to be added to the footer of the page before the (e.g Google Re-Marketing / Google Conversion )“

Now just click the blue “Publish” button, and your page is set and ready to go!

After this, you can launch your campaign.
