The configuration needs to be performed only once no matter how many Clickbank offers you will promote.
What do you need to integrate with Clickbank
In order to take advantage of the integration between Clickbank and CPVLab you need to have:
- A valid CPV Lab license for any of the plans
- A Clickbank account
- A Secret Key defined both in CPV Lab and in Clickbank
Step by step guide to integrate Clickbank with CPV Lab
Step1: Define secret key for Clickbank
First you should access the Configuration Editor page in your CPV Lab tracker instance and define the secret key that will protect your Clickbank integration.
This should be a random string that contains only uppercase letters and digits. I have used CLKEY471, but it can be anything you wish.
Step2: Import Clickbank offer source
Then access the Offer Sources page from your CPV Lab Pro instance and check if you have Clickbank as a predefined offer source.
If you don’t find Clickbank in the list, then you can easily import it from the catalog of predefined Offer Sources.
Edit the Clickbank Offer Source and notice 2 important fields:
- The Offer Template field – which shows how your Clickbank Offer URLs should be adjusted when entered in CPV Lab
- The Postback URL field– the URL that will be used to receive conversions
Step3: Finish the configuration with Clickbank
Now access your Clickbank account in order to finish the configuration.
- Go to: Vendor Settings page ➡️ My Site and edit the Advanced Tools section.
- Enter the Secret Key that you previously defined in CPV Lab (step 1 above).
- And then enter the Postback URL provided to you by CPV Lab earlier (step 2 above).
- Choose 7.0 as the version and leave the 2 checkboxes unchecked.
- Click on the “TEST IPN” button next to the URL in order to validate it and you should receive a confirmation message.
Step4: Save the configuration
Save the page and you have the Clickbank integration configured now. Each time you will get a conversion registered in Clickbank, it will be automatically passed to CPV Lab and it will appear in the reports provided by the tracker.

When you want to add Clickbank offers in your campaigns, you will do the following:
- first access the Marketplace in Clickbank
- choose the desired offer by clicking on the Promote button
- generate a HopLink for it
- copy the HopLink
- go back to your CPV Lab instance.
Create a campaign with Clickbank in CPV Lab
Create a campaign in CPV Lab and paste the HopLink as the Offer URL.
Be careful to always end the Offer URL as shown in the Offer Template field for that specific affiliate network.
For Clickbank you will end the Offer URL with “tid={!subid!}” in order to forward the ClickID to Clickbank. If this is the first parameter from the Offer URL, then precede it with a question mark, otherwise precede it by an ampersand.
When working with an affiliate network is very important to send the “subid” to the affiliate nework.
The explanation is simple: in this way the affiliate network will know to assign a sale to a specific visit and it can send that information back to the tracker.
