Prerequisites: What You Need Before Starting
To follow along with this landing page tutorial, make sure you have access to the following tools:
Required Tools:
- Hosting account (any basic plan will do)
- WordPress is installed on your hosting
- SeedProd plugin (free version is enough)
- Free ChatGPT account (for generating models and prompts)
- CPV Lab Pro or CPV One access for tracking clicks and conversions
Optional but Helpful:
- Canva Pro (for additional design features)
- ChatGPT Plus (for faster image generation)
Technical Skill Level Required: Beginner-friendly (no coding knowledge needed)
Step 1: Design the Base Image in Canva
Our first step is to design a hero image using Canva, this will be the visual foundation of your landing page.
Why Canva?
It’s free, user-friendly, and ideal for creating image-based landing pages or VSL prelanders for affiliate marketing. Plus, it integrates easily with WordPress and SeedProd.
The first thing that we’re going to do is create a base image with Canva. We’re going to login to Canva and click the “Create” button in the left hand column.
Open Canva and Set Up Your Canvas
- Go to Canva and log into your account.
- Click the “Create” button on the left-hand sidebar.

- Scroll down the left menu and select “Custom size.”
- Set your dimensions to 1200×700 pixels, then click “Create new design.”

You’ll now see a blank design workspace. Time to add your background.
We’re going to add a background image by clicking the “Uploads” icon.

Add a Background Image
- Resize the image to fully cover the canvas area.
- Click the “Uploads” tab on the left.
- Upload your background image and drag it onto the canvas.

The background image should be added to the canvas.
Pro tip: Choose a clean, high-quality background that won’t distract from your call-to-action or models. Think product demo, clean room, or neutral color schemes.
Now we’re just resize the image to make sure it covers the entire canvas area.
When the canvas if fully covered it should look similar to this:

Add AI-Generated Models (Optional but Powerful!)
Now we’ll add our models to the scene. Make sure their backgrounds are removed so they blend into the page naturally.

(Optional) If you want a prompt to generate similar models to the ones I’m using you can use the prompts below in ChatGPT.
✨ Prompt 1: Blonde-haired Woman in Peach Blouse
A portrait of a beautiful young Asian woman with long, wavy blonde hair. She has natural makeup with soft blush and eyeliner, wearing a stylish peach blouse with puff sleeves and high-waisted jeans. She is standing in a relaxed, confident pose with one hand on her hip, looking slightly to the side with a calm smile. The background is soft and minimal, giving a modern and elegant feel. High-resolution, photorealistic, professional lighting.
✨ Prompt 2: Light Brown-haired Woman in Red Dress
A portrait of a beautiful young Asian woman with light brown, softly curled hair that enhances her feminine elegance. She is wearing a chic, fitted red dress with delicate details and carrying a matching handbag. Her expression is warm and graceful, smiling gently, with a confident yet feminine pose. The background is clean and softly blurred to emphasize her beauty and elegance. High-resolution, photorealistic, professional lighting.
Once you upload the models, arrange them attractively on the page. This image will be your conversion-focused visual, so aim for clarity and emotional appeal.
When you’re happy with your design, hit “Share > Download” and save the image to your device.

Next step: We’ll bring this image into WordPress using SeedProd and make it into a live, trackable landing page with CPV Lab.
Step 2: Install the Free SeedProd Plugin in WordPress
To build your landing page visually, we’ll use SeedProd, one of the easiest drag-and-drop landing page builders for WordPress. The free version is more than enough for this tutorial.
Here’s how to install it:
- Log in to your WordPress dashboard
- Go to the “Plugins” section from the left-hand menu
- Click “Add New”
- In the search bar, type “SeedProd”
- Find the SeedProd plugin and click “Install” and then “Activate”

SEO Tip: Creating landing pages in WordPress with SeedProd is ideal for affiliates who want full control without relying on page builders that charge monthly fees.
Step 3: Create Your Landing Page with Canva Image as Background
Now that SeedProd is installed, let’s create the actual landing page and use your Canva image as the hero background.
Start a New Page
- From your WordPress Dashboard, click “SeedProd”
- Click “Add New Landing Page”
- Select a template (a basic one works best for clean layouts)
- Name your page and click “Save and Start Editing the Page”

From here we can select a template.

Add the Canva Image as Background
- Click the gear icon (⚙️) in the bottom-left to open Page Settings
- Navigate to “Background”
- Click the image icon, then upload and select the Canva image you created earlier

- Set Background Position to “Full Screen Cover”
- Adjust the “Dim Background” slider to improve text visibility on top of the image
💡 Pro Tip: Use a slight dim to maintain the visual appeal while ensuring your headline and CTA pop clearly.
We’re going to go to the settings icon (which looks like a gear).
Select the image background menu item.

Then, select the image icon.
Upload the image made previously from Canva, select it and add it by pressing the “Select” button

Now, we’re going to select dropdown menu that says Background Position and select “Full Screen Cover“.

From here we’re going to dim the background by adjusting the “Dim Background” setting. The more you dim the background the more visible the text will be able to read for the user.

From here we will have a base Seedprod template. Edit the content to your liking to fit your audience.
Here, I simply made the content box transparent, added a headline, bullets and a button.

Step 4: Tracking
Once your landing page is ready, it’s time to install tracking using CPV Lab or CPV One. This is essential to measure your traffic, optimize conversions, and eliminate guesswork.
Here’s how to do it:
- Go to your campaign in CPV Lab and open the Links & Pixels section.
- Copy the Step 1 link by clicking the copy icon in the “Step 1: Edit Links From Landing Page” section.
This is the URL you’ll use for your Call-To-Action (CTA) button.

- Return to your SeedProd page and click on the CTA button.
- Scroll down in the left menu to find the “Link” box and paste your Step 1 tracking link there.
- Back in CPV Lab, copy the Step 2 script under “Step 2: Add Code To Landing Pages.”
This script tracks page visits and should be added to every landing page.

- In SeedProd, click on Page Settings (gear icon in the top right), then go to the Scripts tab.
- Paste the Step 2 script in the Footer section and click Save.

Then, we’re going to click the “Scripts” tab.

And, paste in our Step 2 code into the Footer section, and click the “Save” button.

You’re done! Now your page is fully integrated with CPV Lab, giving you visibility into page views, click-throughs, and conversions.

Step 5: AI Prompt Variations
Now comes the fun part: creating multiple page versions using AI + ChatGPT!
- Open a new Chat in ChatGPT.
- Upload the base image you created earlier in Canva.
- Use the following prompt to generate a variation:
To do this we’re going to use the base image we created previously in Canva, and drag and drop the image into a new Chat in ChatGPT.

We’re going to ask chatGPT to make variations for us by copying this prompt.
- Hit Send, and ChatGPT will create a new image for you.

Here we can see a version chatgpt created for us:

- Back in SeedProd, go to the Landing Pages section and click Duplicate next to your original page.
- Click Edit on the duplicate page and change the background image to the new AI-generated version.
- In CPV Lab, open your campaign and click “Add Landing Page”.

Then, we can edit the new page by clicking the “Edit” link.

And, change the background image to the new image to create multiple variations.

ChatGPT Variation:

We can add the additional variations to our CPV Lab Pro campaigns by clicking the “Add Landing Page” button in the landing page section in CPV Lab.

Then, adding the additional AI variation pages to the campaign, and save the campaign.

- Paste in your new page URL.
- Because tracking is already set, you don’t need to add the scripts again—but double-check for peace of mind!

FAQ & Troubleshooting
Common Questions About This Tutorial
Q: Do I need coding skills to follow this tutorial?
A: No coding required! This tutorial uses visual builders (Canva, SeedProd) that work with drag-and-drop. The only “code” you’ll paste is the tracking script, which is copy-paste.
Q: Can I use this method for different types of offers?
A: Yes! This workflow works for eCommerce, nutra, dating, sweepstakes, listicles, and virtually any affiliate vertical. Just adjust your images and messaging.
Q: How many variations should I test?
A: Start with 3-5 variations. Once you find a winner, create more variations based on what’s working. Testing too many at once can dilute your traffic.
Q: Will this work with CPV One (cloud version)?
A: Yes! The tracking setup is identical for CPV One and CPV Lab Pro.
Q: Can I use different AI tools besides ChatGPT?
A: Absolutely. You can use Midjourney, DALL-E, Stable Diffusion, or any AI image generator. Just adjust the prompts to match that tool’s syntax.
Q: How long does it take to generate variations?
A: ChatGPT typically generates images in 30-60 seconds. Creating and uploading each variation takes about 5 minutes, so you can have 5 variations ready in under 30 minutes total.
Q: Do I need Canva Pro?
A: No, the free version of Canva works perfectly for this tutorial. Canva Pro offers more templates and features but isn’t necessary.
Q: Can I use my own photos instead of AI-generated models?
A: Yes! You can use stock photos, your own photos, or purchase images from sites like Shutterstock. The process remains the same.
Q: How do I know which variation is winning?
A: Check your CPV Lab campaign reports. Look at conversion rate (CR%) and earnings per click (EPC). The variation with the highest EPC is typically your winner.
Q: Will these pages work on mobile devices?
A: Yes, SeedProd automatically creates mobile-responsive pages. Always test your pages on mobile before launching campaigns.
Troubleshooting Common Issues

Solution:
- Ensure “Background Position” is set to “Full Screen Cover”
- Check that image dimensions are at least 1200×700
- Try re-uploading the image
- Verify image file isn’t corrupted
Problem: ChatGPT generates low-quality images
Solution:
- Use more detailed prompts with specific quality keywords
- Add negative prompts to avoid common issues
- Try generating multiple times until you get good results
- Consider upgrading to ChatGPT Plus for better image quality
Problem: Page loads slowly
Solution:
- Compress images before uploading (use TinyPNG or similar)
- Keep image file sizes under 500KB
- Use JPG format instead of PNG for photos
- Optimize your WordPress hosting
Problem: Can’t install SeedProd plugin
Solution:
- Check your WordPress version (requires 5.0+)
- Verify you have admin permissions
- Ensure sufficient server disk space
- Try installing manually via FTP if auto-install fails
